Reflection- For this workshop we looked at collective intelligence which uses the skills of a number of people to produce an outcome that uses all of the input from everyone around the world. This is popular in today’s society because of the ability to connect and share within social media, editing and seeing the results in real time. We also looked at how this can be put to use with mechanical Turk workers, where user work on human intelligence tasks, which computers are at the moment unable to compete, in order to earn money. Many people work to compete these at a time.

Evaluation-

I really enjoyed this task, it was easy compared to the others but the end product was very effective, it reminded me of Justin Bieber’s video for ‘Where are u now’, where fans were given frames of the video to graffiti on and make their own, personalising them and collaborating with one another to help produce the video. I liked seeing all of my peers doodles and individual stamps on the images as we worked like cogs using our computes to complete the task, even when played at full speed when you do not see the images for very long it is still effective as certain images stick in your brain.
