Reflection-

This was our third task in CPM2 which required us to colour a short piece of footage to meet the colour codes and conventions of  5 different emotions and genres as well as producing a primary colour graded one. To achieve this we used Adobe Premiere Pro for the actual colour grading process and the footage as well as the music was sourced from non-copyrighted websites. I used information I learnt in our work shops, including the use of complementary colours and certain re-occuring colour schemes used in film. For instance we looked at the use of blues and oranges used in action films.

Evaluation-

I found this task one of the easiest and most enjoyable to complete as I found Premiere Pro’s colour editing tools quite easy to use. The hardest part of this task was making sure my editing didn’t breach the legal boundaries, for this I had to look in the vectorscope YUV section. I think my end product looks very effective and I am happy that I have now achieved these skills. The hardest emotion to colour grade was calm/neutral as I knew blues and greens can represent the feeling of calmness but I did not want my clip to look too Sci-Fi like.
